Suiting Up in BK

In Focus On:, Menswear, Smashin Fashion, Views on 01/29/2010 at 18:40

Kudos to GQ and Selby.com, featuring Martin Greenfield in his Brooklyn based, hand-tailored factory (responsible for some of your favorite blazers). The photos are so charming, as are his question responses and obvious love of BK!

The Blazer

The unisex, quintessential, wardrobe staple.

When in doubt, count on the blazer to keep you looking suave in any environment.  Even if you’re one who rarely veers from black and navy (ahem, my wardrobe), interesting shapes, fabrics, and silhouettes help to avoid looking like you’re on campus…

Spring 2010 Lookbooks

In Cinema, Focus On:, Menswear, Musica, Smashin Fashion, Views, Works of Art on 01/28/2010 at 19:31

Ah yes, my favorite movies, the Video Look Books for Spring.  The format allows far more freedom than print, as each collection’s aesthetic, music, mood, words, and characters are seamlessly portrayed in short films.  Steven Alan enjoys the pleasures and boredom experienced in a couple’s summer abode, Temperley London draws us into a fabulous fantasy circus, Yves Saint Laurent channels French boys and Patti Smith…

(Note: I have included Acne’s 2009 Underwear video, but, well, who doesn’t want to look at models jumping around in underwear?)

Experience some of the season’s magic below (more to come !!):

I’ve always been fascinated with scientific art, and E.A. Seguy creates inspirational prints of magnificence. Here are a few of my favorites.
